The Rise is a global network of Tamil entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, academics, researchers, artists, and public intellectuals united by a shared vision of progress, collaboration, and collective prosperity.

Founded in 2018 by Rev. Dr. Jegath Gaspar Raj, The Rise was created with a simple yet powerful belief: when talented individuals connect across borders, they can create extraordinary opportunities for themselves, their communities, and the world.

Today, The Rise serves as a vibrant platform connecting Tamil leaders and changemakers across multiple countries, fostering meaningful relationships, business opportunities, knowledge exchange, innovation, and social impact.

Our Founder

Rev. Dr. Jegath Gaspar Raj

Rev. Dr. Jegath Gaspar Raj founded The Rise in 2018. Besides triple graduate degrees in Philosophy, Theology, History, and a Masters in Political Science, he has done special studies in Geo Politics, Geo-economics, and Public Policy.

He served as a broadcaster with Radio Veritas Asia, Manila - Philippines between 1995 - 2001. He is the producer of Music Maestro Ilayaraja's magnum opus Thiruvasagam in Symphony.

In a public life spanning 30+ years, he has mobilised educational scholarships for 47,000+ poor children, supported environmental causes including planting 1,25,000 trees and more than 3,00,000 palmyra seeds. He currently curates the Green Earth movement and serves as an Adjunct Professor at Asia Metropolitan University, Johor, Malaysia.

Regarded and respected as a Public Intellectual by global Tamils.
